Yacht retrofit. Precisely planned.

We assess your request based on yacht model, year of construction, and photos. Where possible, we connect you directly with a certified dealer near you.

Experience in yacht retrofitting. Proven for over 30 years.

Retrofit projects require more than components. They require coordination, technical judgement, and reliable partners on-site.

30+

Experience in development, technical review, and implementation of yacht systems.

22+

Certified service partners. Supporting retrofit projects through dealers and shipyards worldwide.

Neubau & Nachrüstung

Experience from initial installation to complex retrofit projects.

Retrofit projects are complex. That's why structure matters.

Retrofit projects intervene in existing structures, follow tight schedules, and involve multiple stakeholders. Without clear technical review and coordination, even minor retrofits can become unpredictable.

How retrofit projects are delivered

Retrofit projects require clear processes, technical experience, and clean coordination of all parties involved. H+B technics follows a proven process to assess inquiries efficiently, develop precise solutions, and deliver projects reliably — from first contact to on-site installation.

Step 1

Project inquiry & initial review

Inquiries reach H+B technics through various channels — by email, phone, trade show contact, via dealers, or existing partners. Already in this step we assess whether direct handling or delegation to a certified local dealer makes sense.

Step 2

Technical clarification & data collection

For the technical assessment, we collect the relevant project data, including yacht model, year of construction, existing systems, as well as photos and drawings. In addition, we clarify the intended use — for example, the tender or specific requirements regarding function and integration.

Step 3

Project matching & engineering

We check whether an existing project already exists for the requested yacht. If so, we match the inquiry against existing specifications and drawings. If no matching project exists, we create a new one: Based on the available data, a dimension sheet is prepared, a 3D stern drawing is developed, and we determine which system is technically and structurally optimal.

Step 4

Technical approval & quotation

After completing the technical review and obtaining customer approval, we prepare a detailed quotation including specifications and drawings. This way, from the outset it is clearly defined which solution will be implemented and which services are included.

Step 5

Production, installation & handover

After ordering, the system is manufactured. Installation is carried out by a certified dealer or shipyard on-site, coordinated by H+B technics. Upon completion, we provide full documentation and ensure a clean handover as well as long-term operational reliability.

Quality, certification, and system compatibility

Retrofit projects must meet classification requirements, integrate into existing systems, and function reliably over the long term. H+B technics develops and delivers solutions while always considering these technical and regulatory frameworks.

Certified production & welding

Manufacturing and assembly follow certified processes and documented quality standards. All load-bearing and safety-relevant components are executed according to applicable norms and classification requirements.

System compatibility

All solutions are engineered to integrate seamlessly into existing yacht structures, systems, and interfaces — without unnecessary intervention or risk to the existing installation.

Documentation & traceability

Complete technical documentation to support approvals, handover, and long-term operation. All relevant records are made available in a traceable manner for operators, shipyards, and service partners.

Frequently asked questions about retrofit projects

Answers to common questions about process, technology, and collaboration.

Does a retrofit project always require an on-site inspection?

Not necessarily. Depending on the project scope, the initial technical assessment can be carried out based on drawings, photos, and existing documentation. An on-site inspection is performed when required for the technical design.

Who coordinates the retrofit project?

H+B technics takes care of the central technical coordination. This includes planning, technical alignment, and the coordination of all involved parties, including certified dealers and service partners.

How are dealers and service partners selected for a project?

Selection is made on a project-specific basis according to location, technical requirements, and experience. All dealers and service partners used are certified by H+B technics and work according to defined quality standards.

How long does a typical retrofit project take?

The duration depends on project scope, yacht configuration, and installation conditions. A realistic timeline is determined after the technical assessment and during the planning phase.

Does the retrofit meet classification and approval requirements?

Yes. All retrofit solutions are designed according to the relevant classification and approval requirements. The required technical documentation for approval and handover is part of the project.

Does H+B technics perform the installation itself?

Installation is carried out either directly by H+B technics or in cooperation with certified local dealers or shipyards. The specific execution depends on project scope and location.

What happens after the retrofit is completed?

After project completion, handover, documentation, and training take place. Additionally, our aftersales service is available to ensure long-term, reliable operation.
